Anderson Center, Red Wing, Minnesota, USA
Seit 2008 besteht die Partnerschaft mit dem Anderson Center in Minnesota. Das Anderson Center liegt ca. 45 Minuten südöstlich von Minneapolis und St. Paul am Highway 61, ca. 8 km vor Red Wing, einer Gemeinde mit ca. 18.000 Einwohner*innen.
Das Anderson Center ist seit 1995 eine Künstler*innenkolonie, die es sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, durch Programme und spezielle Angebote den künstlerischen Reichtum der Region zu unterstützen und weiter zu entwickeln.
Künstler*innen, Schriftsteller*innen und Stipendiat*inn finden für zwei bis vier Wochen Arbeitsmöglichkeiten in der Einrichtung. In diesem Rahmen findet auch das Austausch Programm mit Salzburg statt. Den Gastkünstler*innen steht ein Wohnraum und ein Atelier für die Zeit des Aufenthaltes zur Verfügung.

The partnership with the Anderson Center in Minnesota started in 2008. The Anderson Center is located approx. 45 minutes south-east of Minneapolis and St. Paul on Highway 61, approx. 8 km outside Red Wing, a community of approx. 18,000 inhabitants. The Anderson Center has been an artists’ colony since 1995. Its aim is to support and develop the region’s artistic heritage through programs and special offers. The establishment offers artists, writers and grant holders working opportunities for two to three weeks at a time. It is also the setting for the exchange program with Salzburg.

Im Rahmen der Kooperation mit der West University of Timisoara / Faculty of Arts and Design gibt es die Möglichkeit eines Aufenthaltes in Rumänien. Die Unterbringung ist in einem Wohnheim der Universität. Ein Atelier am Campus der Universität wird zum Arbeiten zur Verfügung gestellt.

As part of the cooperation with the West University of Timisoara / Faculty of Arts and Design, there is the possibility of a stay in Romania. Accommodation is in a university hall of residence. A studio on the university campus will be made available for work.
Budapest, Ungarn

Der Kontakt im Rahmen des Künstleraustausches mit Budapest läuft seit Jahren erfolgreich über die Budapest Galéria, eine gemeinnützige Galerie der Stadtverwaltung Budapest.Das Gastatelier am Klauzál Tér ist zentral gelegen, im ehemaligen jüdischen Viertel der Stadt. Die Innenstadt und das Donauufer erreicht man in etwa 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Gastkünstler*nnen werden von der Budapest Galéria betreut und können so Kontakte zur lokalen Kunstszene und den Kunsteinrichtungen knüpfen. Die Stadt Budapest erwartet sich ein in Budapest entstandenes Kunstwerk am Ende des Aufenthaltes.

The artist exchange program with Budapest has been running successfully for several years through the Budapest Galéria, a non-profit gallery of Budapest’s city council. The guest studio at Klauzál Tér is centrally located, in the city’s former Jewish quarter. The city center and the bank of the Danube are about 10-15 minutes’ walk away. The guest artists are looked after by the Budapest Galéria, which allows them to make contact with the local art scene and the city’s art facilities. At the end of the stay, the Budapest Gáleria expects a work of art.

Die Gastkünstler*innen aus Salzburg beziehen ihre Unterkunft im Kunsthaus Raskolnikoff. Im Vorderhaus residieren Galerie, Bar und Restaurant Raskolnikoff, eines der ältesten Szeneetablissements der Neustadt.
Quer über den kleinen, idyllischen Hof mit Wasserspiel geht es ins abseits liegende Hinterhaus, in dem sechs Pensionszimmer untergebracht sind.
Gearbeitet wird in der Grafikwerkstatt Dresden, die als „Druckwerkstatt Goetheallee“ 1958 von Dresdner Künstler*innen gegründet wurde und die sich seit 1997 im Souterrain des ehemaligen Pentacon Werkes, jetzt „Technische Sammlung der Stadt Dresden“ befindet.

The guest artists from Salzburg live in the Art House Raskolnikoff. The front building accommodates the Raskolnikoff gallery, bar and restaurant, one of oldest art scene establishments in the Neustadt district. The six guest rooms are in the more secluded rear building; you reach it by walking across the small, picturesque courtyard with water feature. The guest artists work in Dresden’s graphics workshop, which was originally set up as the printing workshop “Druckwerkstatt Goetheallee” in 1958 by artists from Dresden. Since 1997 the workshop has been accommodated in the basement of the former Pentacon plant, now the “Technical Collections of the City of Dresden“.
Falkenberg - Region Halland, Schweden

Im Rahmen einer Kooperation der Stadt Salzburg mit Kultur i Halland wird im Rahmen des AIR ein Aufenthalt für eine*n Filmemacher*in oder Medienkünstler*in, der/die vorrangig mit dem Medium Film arbeitet angeboten. Die Residency ist angedockt an die Katrinebergs Folkhögskola.
Unterkunft und Verpflegung werden kostenlos an der Folkhögskola zur Verfügung gestellt. (ausgestattetes Zimmer, Toilette und Dusche am Gang). Das Gebäude verfügt über einen Gemeinschaftswohnraum mit Küchenecke. Die Mahlzeiten werden im Restaurant der Unterkunft eingenommen.
Alle Räume haben wlan. Der/die Gastkünstler*in erhält Zugang zu den Filmstudios und dem Filmequipment. Die Einrichtung kooperiert mit kulturellen Einrichtungen in der Region. Betreuung durch Mitglieder von Kultur i Halland.
Falkenberg - Region Halland, Sweden - 1 month
As part of a cooperation between the City of Salzburg and Kultur i Halland, AIR is offering a residency for a filmmaker or media artist who works primarily with the medium of film. The residency is docked to the Katrinebergs Folkhögskola.
Accommodation and meals are provided free of charge at the Folkhögskola. (Equipped room, toilet and shower in the corridor). The building has a communal living room with kitchenette.
The guest artist has access to the film studios and film equipment. The institution cooperates with cultural institutions in the region. Supervision by members of Kultur i Halland

Gläsernes Stieghaus
Im Rahmen der Städtepartnerschaft Salzburg-Meran findet bereits seit 13 Jahren ein reger Künstler*innenaustausch statt. Der Aufenthalt im Atelier von Kunst Meran wird in Zusammenarbeit der Kulturabteilung der Gemeinde Meran und Kunst Meran organisiert.
Kunst Meran im Haus der Sparkasse ist ein gemeinnütziger Kunstverein, der seine Räume in einem denkmalgschützten Laubenhaus im Besitz der Südtiroler Sparkasse AG hat. Die Sanierung und Adaptierung als Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst wurde 2000 - 2001 durchgeführt.
kunst Meran umfasst 500 m2 Ausstellungsfläche, eine Atelierwohnung im dritten Obergeschoss, die Cafeteria und den Galerie-Shop im Erdgeschoss sowie einen Veranstaltungssaal für rund 70 Personen.

The town twinning between Salzburg and Meran has seen a lively exchange of artists for 13 years. The exchange itself and the accommodation in the studio are organized in collaboration with the cultural department of the municipality of Meran and the art association Kunst Meran. Kunst Meran, which is housed in the same building as the Sparkasse, is a non-profit art association whose premises are in a listed loggia building owned by Südtiroler Sparkasse AG. The building was renovated and converted into a gallery for contemporary art in 2000 and 2001.
Kunst Meran comprises 500 sqm of exhibition space, a studio flat on the third floor, a cafeteria and a gallery shop on the ground floor as well as an event hall accommodating around 70 People.

As part of a cooperation with the City of Rovinj, a stay in Croatia can be offered for the first time from 2021. The town provides a workspace in the Town Museum and a flat in the old town area within walking distance from the museum.

Gallery Gjutars / Künstlervereinigung Vantaa. Seit 2006 existiert der Künstler*innenaustausch mit Kuninkaala/Vantaa, einer Gemeinde nahe bei Helsinki, das mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (S-Bahn) in ca. 18 Minuten erreichbar ist. Das Wohn- und Arbeitsatelier befindet sich im oberen Stock eines im Wald gelegenen Hauses, das im unteren Teil auch eine Galerie und eine Artothek beherbergt. Das Atelier besteht aus einem kleinen Wohnraum mit Küchenzeile, einem Balkon, Bad und einem Arbeitsraum.

Gallery Gjutars / Artists Association Vantaa. Since 2006 there has been an artist exchange with Kuninkaala/Vantaa, a municipality close to Helsinki, which can be reached by public transport (suburban train) in about 18 minutes. The living and working studio is located on the upper floor of a house situated in the forest, which also houses a gallery and an artotheque in the lower part. The studio consists of a small living room with kitchenette, a balcony, bathroom and a workroom.
Virginia Centre for the Creative Arts, Mt. San Angelo, USA
Das 1971 gegründete Center, das sich am Fuß der Blue Ridge Mountains, ca. 260 km südwestlich von Washington DC befindet, ist eine der führenden KünstlerInnenkolonien in Amerika. SchriftstellerInnen, bildende KünstlerInnen, KomponistInnen, PerformerInnen, FilmemacherInnen und cross over KünstlerInnen können sich in Wohn- und Arbeitsateliers ihrer kreativen Arbeit widmen.
Voraussetzung für die Bewerbung sind gute Englischkenntnisse und die Bereitschaft, sich in die KünstlerInnenkolonie zu integrieren. Der Austausch mit Salzburg besteht seit 1993.
Virginia Centre for the Creative Arts, Mt. San Angelo, USA - 1 month
Founded in 1971 and located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, approximately 260 km southwest of Washington DC, the Center is one of the leading artist colonies in America. Writers, visual artists, composers, performers, filmmakers and cross over artists can devote themselves to their creative work in living and working studios.
Prerequisites for application are a good command of English and the willingness to integrate into the artists' colony. The exchange with Salzburg has existed since 1993.
